Update an Existing Account
To update your Tech Data Account, complete and return the Account Renewal application below. This request is usually required when there has been no activity on your account for the past 6 months, or for periodical updates to your account information. New information will be reflected within one business day, as long as the forms are filled out in their entirety.
Once you have completed the application sign the documents electronically. Once the application is submitted it will automatically be sent to our new accounts department. Please verify that all forms have been filled out completely and signed, prior to submitting. All signatures/initials must be those of a listed Principle. We are unable to accept the application if someone other than the Principle has signed it.
Important! Tax documents require handwritten signatures and should be uploaded in the application portal or sent separately to our new accounts department via fax at 727-538-7802 or via email at newaccounts@techdata.com.
Reseller Renewal Application
A personal guaranty from one or more reseller owners/officers may potentially help in obtaining additional credit to support business growth. A personal guaranty form can be found at www.techdata.com/personalguaranty.
After the renewal application is processed, you will receive an e-mail containing your account number, sales team phone number, and an expanded list of Tech Data's service offerings. Once you have received your Tech Data account number, be sure to apply for an Electronic Commerce ID since some areas of our site cannot be accessed without it. This will provide you full access to our online product catalog and the convenience of placing orders online.
Electronic Commerce ID and Password
A Tech Data account number is all you need to request an Electronic Commerce ID and password which gives you access to secure areas of techdata.com. Use the following link to complete the request: www.techdata.com/ecapplication or contact our Electronic Commerce department at 1-800-553-7921 extension 5545071, to establish your Electronic Commerce ID and Password. Your Electronic Commerce Tech Data ID and Password will be emailed to you within 3-5 business days after registering.
Once you receive your EC ID and password:
- Navigate to www.techdata.com
- Select your country
- Click "Login" in top right corner

Change of Address
Change of address within a State: Email or fax a change of address notice on company letterhead, signed by an officer of your company, along with Tech Data's Uniform Sales & Use Tax Certificate form below reflecting the state in which your company resides.
Change of address to another State: Email or fax a change of address notice on company letterhead, signed by an officer of your company, along with Tech Data's Uniform Sales & Use Tax Certificate form below reflecting the new state in which your company will reside.
Email a PDF copy to credit@techdata.com or fax a change of address request to 727-538-7087.
